R. Cole

Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School is proud to celebrate preschool teacher Rebecca Cole for her outstanding contributions to both Bloomfield Public Schools and the next generation of early childhood educators.

In addition to her role as a preschool teacher at Wintonbury, Rebecca serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Hartford, where she teaches early childhood education courses and mentors aspiring teachers. She also coordinates and supervises student teacher and fieldwork placements, many of which take place right here at Wintonbury.

Rebecca has worked closely with University of Hartford students throughout their placements, helping to prepare and support future educators before they enter the classroom and while they are gaining hands-on experience in our schools. Her dedication has strengthened the partnership between Wintonbury and the University of Hartford and has created valuable learning opportunities for both college students and our school community.

This week, the University of Hartford recognized Rebecca’s commitment and impact during its “End of Year Awards Celebration” for the Education Department, where she received the Adjunct Faculty Recognition Award.

Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School was also honored with the School Partnership Award, recognizing the school’s ongoing collaboration with the University of Hartford in supporting teacher preparation programs. The award was presented to Rebecca Cole, Coordinator, and Samantha Straker, Principal.

Many of the University of Hartford students recognized during the celebration completed placements at Wintonbury, reflecting the strong mentorship and support they received throughout their experiences.

This recognition is a testament not only to Rebecca’s leadership and dedication, but also to the entire Wintonbury staff who have welcomed, guided, and supported student teachers and fieldwork students in their classrooms.

Congratulations to Rebecca Cole and the entire Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School community on this well-deserved recognition.
