On December 15th, the entire Wintonbury community promoted, participated and celebrated acts of KINDNESS. This has been a Wintonbury tradition since 2015. It was started as a remembrance of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy and as a way to teach children how small acts of kindness grow into a culture of peace. As a result of acts of kindness, people (children and adults alike) feel welcomed, appreciated, accepted, loved and more!

Leading up to the event, classes secretly prepared a surprise act of kindness for another classroom or staff member. Some of the gifts included bracelets, cards, playdough, ornaments - all of which were made by the students. Some classrooms shared a beloved book, performed a song or offered a play-together opportunity.
