Black History Month bulletin board

For the fifth consecutive year, Wintonbury celebrated Black History Month during February. This year each classroom chose to study a Black artist  and students extended their learning through inspired art, music and movement. Documentation of learning was displayed on outside classroom windows. Families are encouraged to view the windows during the upcoming parent-teacher conferences. In addition, a video capturing the student's learning experiences was created with a soundtrack reflecting three of the musical artists: Pharrel Williams, Ella Fitzgerald and Ella Jenkins [the focus for three classrooms]. Enjoy this peek into Wintonbury's appreciation of the contributions of Black artists. Wintonbury Black History Month Celebration
